FFQ017 Floating Stars. 42" x 50"
The second in my series of quilts made from pre-cut 2 1/2" strips. It uses the 60 Degree Strip Ruler from Creative Grids (item #CGRSR60) or the template provided in the pattern. The pieces are all cut from 2 1/2" strips - either cut from your stash or a purchased pre-cut collection. The trick of this quilt is in the star points - no those aren't what you're expecting. The points float up away from the seam line so there's no chance of those points being lost in stitching. The quilt size can be a little larger or smaller based on the floating the star blocks with larger side setting triangles. Ah-h-h, now you understand the name!
